PITTSBURGH – Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC plays host to Miami FC as two of the top three teams in the USL Championship’s Atlantic Division meet on Wednesday night at Highmark Stadium with the hosts looking to add to their lead atop the standings after recording a fourth consecutive win in their most recent outing. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET.

@RiverhoundsSC (10-4-3, 33pts) earned a 3-2 victory on the road against the Charleston Battery last Friday night as Alex Dixon scored a pair of goals and Russell Cicerone had a goal and assist to lead the side to its 10th win of the season. Dixon has now scored five goals in the past three games, notching the second three-game scoring streak of his career, while Cicerone moved into a tie for sixth place in the league overall with eight goals this season to lead the Hounds. Pittsburgh has recorded five-game winning streaks in each of the past two seasons under Head Coach Bob Lilley and could match that feat on Wednesday if it can improve on the 1-1 draw when it last hosted Miami on June 12 in a game that saw Cicerone give the hosts an early lead before Miami hit back shortly before halftime through former Hounds player Christiano Francois.

@MiamiFC (8-6-3, 27pts) returns to action after playing to a 1-1 draw against Hartford Athletic at Dillon Stadium last Wednesday night. The visitors went behind as Bradford Jamieson IV found the net for Hartford but then leveled midway through the first half on Othello Bah’s third goal of the season. Bah is now tied for second on the team alongside Francois and Billy Forbes, with Cuban forward Ariel Martinez leading the side with four goals this campaign. Miami has recorded only two wins in eight games on the road so far this season, with the most recent coming on July 11 in a 4-1 victory against last-placed Loudoun United FC. Wednesday’s game will mark the second meeting between the clubs in their histories, with the squads set to meet twice in Miami in October as the push for the USL Championship Playoffs concludes.
