KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Memphis 901 FC will try to continue a four-game undefeated streak as it visits Sporting Kansas City II on Sunday evening at Children’s Mercy Park, with SKC II the last side to hand Memphis a loss prior to its recent run of form. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. ET.

@SportingKCII (3-8-5, 14pts) is looking to rebound after suffering a 2-1 defeat at home to Louisville City FC this past Wednesday as Ozzie Cisneros’ first professional goal in the closing stages proved just a consolation for the side. SKC II is in eighth place in the Central Division standings but remains in touch with the teams above it vying for a place in the postseason with just a four-point gap to OKC Energy FC in fourth place at the start of the weekend’s action. Sporting will be hoping for a repeat of its last meeting against Memphis, which saw the side take a 3-2 victory on Danny Barbir’s game-winner after 901 FC had rallied back from a two-goal deficit in the second half at AutoZone Park. The player to watch this season for SKC II, though, has been Enoch Mushagalusa, who leads the team with five goals and has also notched a pair of assists as the lone player to have appeared in all 16 games this season.

@Memphis901FC (4-4-4, 16pts) sits in a position of potential after taking a 1-0 victory at home against FC Tulsa last Saturday night on a goal by Kyle Murphy. The result saw 901 FC complete an undefeated month for just the second time in its history, with the side having picked up two wins and two draws in July to move into sixth place in the Central Division standings. Memphis is two points behind Energy FC but holds three games in hand on both OKC and fifth-placed Atlanta United 2 as it prepares for a busy second half of the season. Murphy now leads the team with six goals this season, while goalkeeper Kyle Morton has recorded two shutouts in three appearances and conceded just once since joining the club on loan from Houston Dynamo FC, providing an experienced head in net after the season-ending injury suffered by John Berner.
