Postponed Contest Between Independence, Red Bulls II Rescheduled

Game scheduled for June 17 to be played on Oct. 9, fixture from Oct. 8 moved to Aug. 10

TAMPA, Fla. – The USL Championship announced on Friday the postponed contest between the Charlotte Independence and New York Red Bulls II originally scheduled for June 17 would now be played on Saturday, October 9 at American Legion Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

To accommodate the new game date, the previously scheduled contest between the Red Bulls II and Independence set for Friday, October 9 at MSU Soccer Park will now be played on Tuesday, August 3 at the same venue, with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

The Independence return to action on Saturday night as they host the Tampa Bay Rowdies at American Legion Memorial Stadium at 7 p.m. ET. The Red Bulls II will also be in action on Saturday as they visit Sacramento Republic FC at Heart Health Park at 11 p.m. ET.
