USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week – Week 14

The past week produced a historic penalty kick save and long-range denials, which one gets your vote?

The USL Championship saw the 100th shutout of the regular season occur in Week 14 and a historic performance by Charleston Battery goalkeeper Joe Kuzminsky in last Friday’s Southern Derby that earned him Player of the Week honors. The Battery veteran is also among the five nominees for the Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week, where you get to decide which save takes home the weekly award.

Voting runs through Friday, July 30 at 12 p.m. ET.

USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week – Week 14

Joe Kuzminsky (CHS) - #CHSvCLT, 7/23/21: The Championship’s Player of the Week made a key one-handed save on a penalty kick by the Independence’s Sylvain Marveaux as part of his shutout in Charleston’s 2-0 victory at Patriots Point.

Abraham Rodriguez (COS) - #COSvLOU, 7/23/21: Abraham Rodriguez kept himself big to make a kick save at close range on a shot by Louisville City FC’s Brian Ownby at Weidner Field on Friday night.

Kendall McIntosh (SKC) - #OKCvSKC, 7/24/21: Kendall McIntosh had to react quickly to make a fine diving save that kept out a sharply hit half-volley by OKC Energy FC’s Aidan Daniels at Taft Stadium on Saturday night.

Austin Wormell (TUL) - #MEMvTUL, 7/24/21: Local product Austin Wormell went at full stretch to make an excellent save on a shot by Memphis 901 FC’s Laurent Kissiedou that was curling away from him toward the right corner of the net at AutoZone Park.

Logan Ketterer (ELP) - #NMvELP, 7/24/21: Logan Ketterer made a strong diving save after New Mexico United’s Ilija Ilic had cleverly created space for a shot from 20 yards, controlling the rebound to allow him to gather the loose ball.
