IRVINE, Calif. – Orange County SC will try to break a two-game losing streak as it plays host to Sacramento Republic FC for the fourth and final meeting between the sides this regular season on Saturday night at Championship Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET.

@OrangeCountySC (6-4-3, 21pts) lost consecutive games for the first time this season in Week 13 after suffering a 2-0 defeat to Mountain Division foe Rio Grande Valley FC last Saturday night at Championship Soccer Stadium. The defeats saw Orange County slip five points behind Pacific Division leader Phoenix Rising FC going into this weekend’s action as it lost for only the second time at home in the 2021 season. There should be reasons for optimism in OCSC’s camp this week, however, as the side has claimed victory in each of its prior three meetings with Sacramento, including a 2-0 win at Heart Health Park in their most recent encounter on July 10 that saw Chris Wehan record a goal and assist for the side. Orange County is also set to be able to call on the services of Haitian international Ronaldo Damus, who returns to the side after competing at the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup over the past two weeks.

@SacRepublicFC (3-6-3, 12pts) returns to Championship Soccer Stadium hoping to start building a run of its own, however, having most recently earned a 2-1 victory against Las Vegas Lights FC on July 14 that snapped a nine-game winless streak going that began in the first meeting between the teams on May 22. Tucker Bone scored both goals for Republic FC at Cashman Field to move to a team-high five for the season and could be a key figure if the visitors are to push on in their pursuit of a top-four place in the standings by the end of the weekend. Sacramento has had success against Orange County prior to this season, too, having claimed nine victories in 17 meetings before this campaign, and the side will be looking to draw on that as it tries to build some positive momentum of its own.
