HARTFORD, Conn. – Hartford Athletic and Miami FC meet for the second time this season in a top-four clash in the USL Championship’s Atlantic Division on Saturday night at Dillon Stadium with the hosts looking to put an end to Miami’s recent hot streak. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

@HFDAthletic (6-3-2, 20pts) returns home after completing a grueling two-game road trip last week that saw it emerge with a 1-0 victory against the Tampa Bay Rowdies before a 3-1 defeat by the Charleston Battery that kept the side in fourth place in the division standings. Central defender Tulu scored his first goal for the club late against the Battery to make it a one-goal game with seven minutes to go but the visitors were unable to find an equalizer as the hosts put the game away with a third goal in stoppage time. The Athletic have recorded four shutouts in 11 games this season, including in their prior meeting with Miami at FIU Stadium on May 8 when Preston Tabort Etaka’s goal early in the second half earned the visitors a 1-0 win in the first meeting between the clubs. Another win on Saturday would move Hartford level with points on Miami as it enters its second third of the season.

@TheMiamiFC (7-5-2, 23pts) also took victory against the Rowdies last week, earning a 2-1 victory at FIU Stadium behind goals from Ariel Martinez and Othello Bah that continued the club’s recent strong run of form. Miami has won four of its past five outings to move within a point of Tampa Bay and Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC for first place in the division as the side’s attack has begun to click after its early struggles this season. Miami has also accomplished its recent three-game winning streak without the presence of two key players in Jamaican internationals Speedy Williams and Lamar Walker, both of whom remain on national team duty at the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup as the Reggae Boyz take on the United States in the Quarterfinals on Sunday night.
