AUSTIN, Texas – Austin Bold FC plays host to Real Monarchs SLC on Sunday night at Bold Stadium looking to add to a three-game undefeated streak that has the side in the middle of the playoff race in the Championship’s Mountain Division. Kickoff is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET.

@AustinBoldFC (4-3-4, 16pts) played to a 1-1 draw in its most recent league outing on July 7 against Rio Grande Valley FC as Kofi Sarkodie recorded just the second goal of his extensive professional career. Bold FC enters the weekend one point out of the playoff positions in the Mountain Division with its staunch defense playing a key role in keeping the side in the race for the postseason. Austin goalkeeper Elliot Panicco currently leads the race for the Championship’s Golden Glove with a 0.44 goals-against average this season and is tied for the league-lead with five shutouts. Consistency in front of goal has been harder to come by, though, with Austin having recorded only 11 goals in 10 games this season. The side did earn a 2-0 victory on home turf when it last faced Real as Sean Okoli converted from the penalty spot before Jorge Troncoso scored late on May 26.

@RealMonarchs (2-7-4, 10pts) currently sit at the bottom of the Mountain Division standings and are coming off consecutive defeats to Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC and El Paso Locomotive FC by identical 3-1 scorelines. Real has now conceded 21 times this season, tied for sixth-most in the Championship, and has recorded only one shutout so far this season. One recent bright spot, however, has been the play of Aris Briggs, who has scored in three consecutive games to move level with Milan Iloski for the team lead in goals. Iloski has also recorded two assists, while Canadian winger Malik Johnson has recorded 13 key passes to lead the side.
