USL Championship Fans’ Choice Goal of the Week – Week 12

Thomas Janjigian (HFD) - #HFDvNY, 7/10/21: Thomas Janjigian’s second goal in five seasons in the USL Championship was a special one, thundering home into the top-right corner of the net to earn Hartford a 2-2 draw in stoppage time against the New York Red Bulls II.

Dane Kelly (CLT) - #CLTvNY, 7/7/21: The Championship’s all-time leading scorer wrote his name into American Legion Memorial Stadium’s history with the first goal for the Independence at their new downtown home, but his second to follow it up was spectacular as he controlled and volleyed in one move from the top of the penalty area.

Cameron Lancaster (LOU) - #TULvLOU, 7/10/21: Cameron Lancaster struck again this season with a beautiful headed finish as he contorted in midair to send Wesley Charpie’s cross from the right back into the right corner of the net at ONEOK Field.

Kofi Sarkodie (ATX) - #ATXvRGV, 7/7/21: Kofi Sarkodie’s first professional goal since the 2012 MLS Cup Playoffs was brilliantly taken, striking home a cushioned header by teammate Stefano Pinho on the half-volley into the bottom-left corner of the net for Bold FC.

Micheal Azira (NM) - #NMvCOS, 7/9/21: Micheal Azira connected perfectly with Isidro Martinez’s  corner kick from the right in second-half stoppage time to lift New Mexico to victory against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on his first goal in the club’s colors.
