USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week – Week 11

Justin vom Steeg (LA) - #PHXvLA, 7/3/21: Justin vom Steeg produced a remarkable point-blank save to deny Phoenix Rising FC’s Solomon Asante on Saturday night, staying up long enough to his left hand to swat the ball wide of the post.

Jeff Caldwell (HFD) - #LDNvHFD, 7/4/21: Facing Loudoun’s Jovanny Bolivar on a penalty kick for the second time this season, Jeff Caldwell got the better of the matchup with a low save that preserved his shutout and Hartford’s road win at Segra Field.

Sean Melvin (COS) - #COSvSLC, 7/4/21: Sean Melvin put in a fine display in net for the Switchbacks before a sellout crowd on Sunday night that was capped by a diving stop to keep out Noah Powder’s penalty kick for the Monarchs late on.

Jermaine Fordah (LDN) - #LDNvPIT, 6/30/21: With Pittsburgh looking for a late equalizer, Loudoun goalkeeper Jermaine Fordah made an outstanding diving save to his right to keep out a bicycle kick by Hounds forward Albert Dikwa and preserve United’s victory.

Trey Muse (SD) - #SDvSAC, 7/3/21: Playing up off his line, SD Loyal goalkeeper Trey Muse had to scramble as Sacramento Republic FC’s Dan Casey fired a shot from 60 yards that the young goalkeeper just got back in time to turn around the right post.
