HERRIMAN, Utah – New Mexico United will try to claim its second road victory this season against Real Monarchs SLC on Wednesday night at Zions Bank Stadium as both teams look to get back to winning ways after their most recent outings. Kickoff is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET.

@RealMonarchs (1-5-4, 7pts) has earned a point from each of its past two outings but is winless in four games overall after playing to a 1-1 draw against San Antonio FC last Saturday night on home turf. The contest was notable as Monarchs goalkeeper Gavin Beavers became the youngest goalkeeper to start a USL Championship game in the league’s history aged 16 years, 1 month and 29 days old, and Beavers produced a five-save performance that illustrated his impressive potential. The Monarchs have only claimed victory once this season, however, and currently sit five points adrift at the bottom of the Mountain Division standings.

@NewMexicoUTD (4-3-2, 14pts) took victory when it previously visited Zions Bank Stadium this season on June 4 as Isidro Martinez scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory. New Mexico suffered a 3-1 defeat last Friday night in its most recent outing, however, as Josh Suggs’ second goal in as many games gave the side the lead before Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC roared back for a 3-1 win at Weidner Field, a game that opened United’s current three-game road trip that concludes on Saturday against El Paso Locomotive FC. The result ended a three-game shutout streak for New Mexico, although the side still has one of the best defensive records in the Championship with only eight goals conceded in nine games this season. New Mexico is set to be without Amando Moreno on Wednesday after the forward joined up with El Salvador for the first time as it begins preparations for the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup next month.
