CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy II and Orange County SC will meet for the second 405 Derby of the season on Wednesday night at Dignity Health Sports Park with the visitors looking to continue its upward climb in the Pacific Division. Kickoff is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET.

The @LAGalaxyII (3-4-2, 11pts) return to action after suffering a 4-3 defeat to Las Vegas Lights FC in their last outing despite a hat trick from first-year pro Preston Judd. The Las Vegas native – who was selected by the LA Galaxy in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft – scored the third hat trick of the Championship season against his hometown club to move into a five-way tie for the league lead on six goals this season. The loss, however, was Los Dos’ third in its last four games, but in the middle of that run was a 4-3 victory against Orange County SC on May 29 at Championship Soccer Stadium that saw Christian Nava score a late winner for the side. The Galaxy II have won their last three encounters with OCSC dating back to last season and will be hoping to continue that form on Wednesday night.

@OrangeCountySC (4-2-1, 13pts) also squared off with Lights FC in its last outing on Saturday night and came away with a 3-1 victory at Cashman Field as a pair of goals by Ronaldo Damus helped the visitors rally from a halftime deficit. Damus – who last Friday was named in Haiti’s preliminary roster for the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup – has scored five goals in the past four games to pick up the pace for OCSC in attack after the injuries suffered by Adam Jahn and Thomas Enevoldsen. The win in Las Vegas was Orange County’s third in its last four outings since its loss to the Galaxy II, a run which has moved the side within three points of Phoenix Rising FC at the top of the Pacific Division standings. A win on Wednesday would pull OCSC level on points with its rival as it wraps up its first quarter of the season.
