Austin returns home after washout to host Switchbacks side coming off impressive victory

Austin Bold FC's Emilio Ycaza and Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC's Hadji Barry are both set to play key roles for their respective sides on Tuesday night at Bold Stadium.

AUSTIN, Texas – Austin Bold FC returns home on Tuesday night to play host to a Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC side that is coming off an impressive win in its most recent outing as both sides looking to make a move up the Mountain Division standings. Kickoff at Bold Stadium is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET.

@AustinBoldFC (3-2-2, 11pts) returns home after the final game of its four-game road trip on Saturday night against Birmingham Legion FC at BBVA Field was abandoned in the first half due to heavy rain that caused a waterlogged field. The contest will be replayed in full at a future date, but Bold FC had found prior success on its travels in taking seven points from its past three games after falling to El Paso Locomotive FC in its most recent home outing on June 3. At the center of that run has been a staunch defense that has conceded only once in the past three games, and only three times in six games since its opening-game loss on the road to New Mexico United, which has edged the side into the top four positions in the Mountain Division to start the week.

@SwitchbacksFC (2-2-2, 8pts) can pull level on points with Austin and fifth-placed San Antonio FC should it take a second consecutive victory on Tuesday night after claiming a 4-2 win last Wednesday against the Tacoma Defiance in the club’s first win at its new downtown home Weidner Field. Hadji Barry led the way for the side with a goal and three assists, while Michee Ngalina scored twice and Deshane Beckford added the other in a second four-goal display by the side this season. Barry is now in a five-way tie for first in the league with six goals in six games while he and Ngalina sit first and third respectively in combined Expected Goal and Expected Assists according to American Soccer Analysis, highlighting the threat the attacking duo has consistently posed this season.
