BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The USL Championship contest between Birmingham Legion FC and Austin Bold FC on Saturday night was abandoned in the 36th minute as heavy rain throughout the day and into the start of the contest rendered the playing surface unplayable.
The teams were pulled from the field shortly before halftime. Under league rules, the game will be played in its entirety from the opening kickoff when it is replayed. A date for the rescheduled contest will be announced in the coming days.
