CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy II and Las Vegas Lights FC will meet for the second time this season at Dignity Health Sports Park with the visitors coming in on a two-game undefeated streak after a rocky start to the season. Kickoff is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET.

The @LAGalaxyII (3-3-2, 11pts) suffered their second defeat in the past three outings this past Saturday night as they let a second-half lead slip in a 2-1 loss to San Diego Loyal SC at Torero Stadium. Jorge Hernandez recorded his fifth goal of the season for Los Dos, but the side conceded twice in the final 20 minutes to end without a point. Hernandez continues to be the main story for Los Dos this season with the 20-year-old having recorded five goals and two assists this season while also notching 13 key passes and completing 85.2 percent of his passes overall. Hernandez was among the scorers when Los Dos handed Las Vegas a 5-0 defeat that saw the side score all five goals in the second half on May 5 in their prior meetings, with the Galaxy II currently second in the Championship in goals (16) and shot conversion rate (23%).

@LVLightsFC (1-4-1, 4pts) has shown notable improvement since that result, however, and has taken four points from its past two outings at home at Cashman Field. Lights FC rallied for a 1-1 draw against San Antonio FC last Friday night as Cal Jennings scored his third goal of the season from the penalty spot, and the former Memphis 901 FC forward has been among the most eye-catching players in the Championship individually this season, leading the league in Expected Goals + Expected Assists according to American Soccer Analysis at a total of 6.06xG+xA. Add in the midfield play of Bryce Duke and Daniel Crisostomo, both of whom impressed against San Antonio, and the visitors will be hopeful of a much better performance and result on its second visit to Dignity Health Sports Park this season.
