LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Louisville City FC will open Lynn Family Stadium to full capacity for the first time in its history on Saturday night as it plays host to Memphis 901 FC looking for a turnaround in form back on home turf. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.

@LouCityFC (2-2-1, 7pts) is set to welcome its first five-figure crowd at the 11,700-seat venue in the Butchertown neighborhood of the city 11 months after it first saw action upon its opening, and it will be hoping for better fortunes in front of goal after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Atlanta United 2 last Sunday night for a second consecutive defeat that kept the side in fifth place in the Central Division. LouCity had numerous quality chances, including a late penalty kick taken by Niall McCabe, but was unable to find a breakthrough against Atlanta goalkeeper Alec Kann. Louisville has been among the best chance creators in the Championship this season with an 11.40 Expected Goals mark according to American Soccer Analysis – second only to Phoenix Rising FC this season – but the side has recorded only six goals so far, a run it will be looking to improve on Saturday night.

@Memphis901FC (1-1-2, 5pts) is coming off its first win of the season, meanwhile, after a pair of first-half goals by Michael Salazar and Kyle Murphy proved enough to give the side a 2-1 victory against Indy Eleven last Saturday night. Memphis’ first visit to Louisville this season will mark the final game of a five-game road trip to start the 2021 season that has seen the side progressively improve under Head Coach Ben Pirmann, with Laurent Kissiedou having proved influential in midfield sitting tied for the team-lead with eight key passes alongside defender Mark Segbers. Goalkeeper John Berner has also been busy, recording 20 saves in the club’s first four games. The side’s pressing and counter-pressing style that proved effective against Indy could make for an intriguing tactical matchup against Louisville’s lineup.
