TAMPA, Fla. – New Mexico United’s Daniel Bruce has claimed the USL Championship Fans’ Choice Goal of the Month award for April and May as his late finish against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC took top spot in an online poll conducted over the past weekend.

Bruce’s finish provided the exclamation point for New Mexico’s 3-1 road win against the Switchbacks on May 21 on a drive from 20 yards that picked out the top-right corner to give the side its first road win of the season.

Bruce’s goal finished with 45 percent of the ballot, while Rio Grande Valley FC’s Juan Carlos Azocar finished in second on 25 percent for his bicycle-kick equalizer for the Toros against San Antonio FC on May 29, and New Mexico’s Amando Moreno finished third for his headed finish against Austin Bold FC on May 15.
