KENNESAW, Ga. – Atlanta United 2 plays host to Louisville City FC on Sunday night at Fifth Third Bank Stadium in the second meeting between the clubs this season, with both looking to get back in the win column after suffering defeat last time out. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.

@atlutd2 (2-2-2, 8pts) almost extended its undefeated run to five games last Sunday afternoon but was denied a point by Birmingham Legion FC as a late penalty kick earned Legion FC a 1-0 victory. This Sunday’s contest will mark the first in charge for new Head Coach Jack Collison, who was unveiled this week as the permanent replacement for interim Head Coach Tony Annan. A former player at West Ham United, Collison has been part of Atlanta’s Academy coaching staff since 2019 and inherits a side that sits in fourth place in the Atlantic Division. The side has been led this season by Aiden McFadden, who sits tied for third place in the Championship with four goals, while Will Reilly has recorded a pair of assists.

@LouCityFC (2-1-1, 7pts) suffered a late defeat in its last outing as well as Indy Eleven took a 2-1 victory at Lynn Family Stadium last Saturday night after the hosts held a halftime lead. Louisville will be hopeful of rebounding on Sunday having previously taken a 2-0 victory against Atlanta in the opening game of the season behind a pair of second-half goals by Paolo DelPiccolo. That victory stretched Louisville’s all-time record against Atlanta to 5-0-1 since the sides first met in 2018, but the side will be hoping to sharpen up its finishing as it looks to move back into the race for first place in the division standings. LouCity has recorded six goals this season but has an Expected Goals mark of 7.88xG, ranking the side seventh in the league in that category according to American Soccer Analysis while sitting tied for 11th in goals scored.
