Boys in Blue look to build on midweek draw as it plays host to Memphis

Indy Eleven's Nick Moon and Memphis 901 FC's Mark Segbers could square off on Saturday night as Indy plays host in the first meeting between the sides at Michael A. Carroll Stadium.

INDIANAPOLIS – Indy Eleven wraps up a two-game week on Saturday night as it plays host to Memphis 901 FC at Michael A. Carroll Stadium with both teams having played to a draw in their most recent outings. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

@IndyEleven (3-1-1, 10pts) was held to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday night by OKC Energy FC as a first-half goal by Nick Moon was canceled out in the second half by the visitors at Carroll Stadium. The result did move the Boys in Blue back on top of the Central Division going into the weekend’s action, however, and the side could have come away believing it had done enough to earn all three points after recording 16 shots overall and posting a 1.72 Expected Goals mark for the game. The side is set to be without defender Neveal Hackshaw on Saturday night after his departure to join the Trinidad & Tobago Men’s National Team for its World Cup Qualifying contests after Wednesday’s contest, but the side will still be hopeful of continuing its three-game undefeated streak on home turf.

@Memphis901FC (0-1-2, 2pts) also finished all square with OKC Energy FC in its most recent outing on May 29 after a 0-0 draw at Taft Stadium that saw the side post its first shutout of the season. The visitors will be without winger Kadeem Dacres for its trip to Indy as he serves a suspension after a late red card for two cautionable offenses against OKC, and international duty has also come calling for winger Dre Fortune, who joins Hackshaw in the Trinidad & Tobago squad, and Raul Gonzalez, who was part of the Puerto Rico side that took a 7-0 victory against the Bahamas on Wednesday night. Memphis will be looking for its first win against Indy in its short history, with the side having suffered a pair of 3-0 defeats when the sides met during the 2019 regular season.
