KANSAS CITY, Kan. – FC Tulsa returns to action on Wednesday night looking to rebound from its first loss of the season as it visits Sporting Kansas City II at Children’s Mercy Park for the second game between the club’s this campaign. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.

@SportingKCII (0-3-3, 3pts) is still looking for its first win of the season, although it came close this past Sunday evening in a 0-0 draw against El Paso Locomotive FC that saw the side hit the crossbar and have another big early opportunity cleared off the goal line by Locomotive FC. Goalkeeper John Pulskamp also put in a stellar display, recording a six-save shutout to help preserve a point for the hosts, who have now alternated losses and draws in their opening six games of the season. Sporting’s key challenge so far this season has been finding the net, with the side sitting at a league-worst 4.9 percent shot conversion rate that has resulted in only two goals, compared to a 5.78 Expected Goals mark on the shots the side has been able to manufacture this season.

@FCTulsa (3-1-0, 9pts) has been off for two weeks after its first loss of the season, a 5-0 defeat away to Atlanta United 2 that took some of the steam out of the side’s sails after its three-game winning streak to start the year. Tulsa was already set to be without defender Jorge Luis Corrales for Wednesday’s clash due to suspension for a red card against Atlanta, but both he and forward Joaquin Rivas are set to be absent for the club’s next two games after being called up by Cuba and El Salvador respectively for international duty. Tulsa will be hoping its attack will fire in a similar fashion without that pair as it looks to repeat the 2-0 win it took when the sides met at ONEOK Field on May 1, a result that served as Tulsa’s first victory all-time in the series between the clubs.
