IRVINE, Calif. – Sebastian Nava scored the winner with two minutes to go for the LA Galaxy II as the visitors claimed a 4-3 victory against 405 Derby rival Orange County SC on Saturday night at Championship Soccer Stadium after the hosts had rallied from a two-goal deficit to level in the second half.

Looking to rebound from defeat in their most recent outing, the Galaxy II grabbed an early lead as Preston Judd notched his third goal of the season in just the fourth minute. Los Dos added to its lead nine minutes later as Josh Drack found the net for his first goal in the professional ranks, but just past the half-hour mark Orange County hit back as Chris Wehan scored his second goal in as many games.

The Galaxy II restored their two-goal lead six minutes before the halftime break as Jorge Hernandez converted from the penalty spot for his first goal of the game, but Orange County pushed to get back into the contest as the second half began. After Mikko Kuningas forced a save from Los Dos goalkeeper Justin Vom Steeg eight minutes into the second half, the hosts pulled a goal back in the 58th minute as Ronaldo Damus’ initial effort was denied, but Wehan found Eero Markkanen for a close-range finish off the rebound.

Kuningas then pulled Orange County level in the 67th minute as he delivered a curling ball from the right channel into the center of the penalty area that eluded everybody and skipped into the back of the net. The Galaxy II didn’t flinch, though, and almost regained the lead with six minutes to go as second-half substitute Jonathan Perez fired a low shot from the left side of the penalty area that clipped off both the left post and the crossbar before staying out.

But the visitors grabbed their third consecutive victory in the series with two minutes to go as Nava played a clever give-and-go inside the right side of the penalty area with Hernandez and fired home a low shot into the net at the near post to give the Galaxy II all three points.
