USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week – Week 5

Another big week of action produced some more outstanding saves, which one gets your vote?

The past week saw the 25th shutout of the 2021 USL Championship season, including the Charlotte Independence’s Brandon Miller reaching 40 regular season shutouts for his career, and among those performances were some more outstanding saves. We’ve picked out five of the best, now you get to decide which one will get the honor of being the Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week.

Voting runs through Friday, May 28 at 12 p.m. ET.

USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week – Week 5

Matt Cardone (SA) - #SAvBHM, 5/22/21: Matt Cardone made a brilliant double-save to first deny Birmingham Legion FC’s Daigo Kobayashi’s long-range shot and then recover to keep out Ryan James on the rebound at Toyota Field.

Alexander Rando (LV) - #PHXvLV, 5/22/21: Alexander Rando set a Championship single-game record with 15 saves on Saturday night against Phoenix Rising FC, including this outstanding one-handed save to deny Jeremy Kelly.

Kendall McIntosh (SKC) - #LAvSKC, 5/19/21: Kendall McIntosh got into position well before making a fingertip save to keep out a header by the LA Galaxy II’s Preston Judd at Dignith Health Sports Park.

Danny Vitiello (PIT) - #PITvCLT, 5/22/21: 2020 Golden Glove winner Danny Vitiello produced a fine double-save to keep out first a close-range header by the Charlotte Independence’s Kevin Riascos before recovering to deny Brandt Bronico on the rebound.

Joe Kuzminsky (CHS) - #CHSvNY 5/23/21: Joe Kuzminsky dueled regularly with the New York Red Bulls II’s Roald Mitchell on Sunday afternoon including this big one-on-one stop as the Battery goalkeeper got quickly off his line to save.
