Atlanta looks to build on big midweek victory as Memphis visits Fifth Third Bank Stadium

Atlanta United 2's Connor Stanley and Memphis 901 FC's Laurent Kissiedou - who previously played for Atlanta - will likely lead their teams into Sunday's clash between the two clubs.

KENNESAW, Ga. – Atlanta United 2 will try to build on its three-game undefeated streak as it plays host to Memphis 901 FC on Sunday afternoon at Fifth Third Bank Stadium, with the visitors looking to rebound from an opening loss last weekend. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET.

@atlutd2 (2-1-1, 7pts) took the biggest win in the Championship this season on Wednesday night as it took a 5-0 victory against previously undefeated FC Tulsa as a flurry of four goals in 11 minutes to close the second half swung the game the way of the hosts. The win was Atlanta’s second in its last three outings and moved it within two points of Tulsa in second place in the Central Division as Aiden McFadden scored a pair of goals and both Connor Stanley and Tyler Wolff also put in stellar supporting performance.

@Memphis901FC (0-1-0, 0pts) arrives for its second game of the campaign after falling 1-0 to rival Birmingham Legion FC last Saturday afternoon. Despite the loss there were some positive performances from Head Coach Ben Pirmann’s new-look side, led by a nine-save display by goalkeeper John Berner that helped keep the side in the game against Legion FC’s potent attack. Memphis will be hoping for a sharper attacking display after recording five shots on goal in its opening game, and will hope not to have to try and rally late as it did the last time it visited ATL UTD 2 when it needed a stoppage-time equalizer from Cal Jennings to claim a point.
