LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Louisville City FC will play host to San Diego Loyal SC on Saturday night at Lynn Family Stadium in one of the USL Championship’s three interconference matchups this week, with the visitors looking to snap out of a tough start to the season. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.

@LouCityFC (1-0-1, 4pts) gets back to action with an undefeated record in its first two games after a 1-1 draw with Birmingham Legion FC on May 8 at Lynn Family Stadium. LouCity opened the scoring early through Pat McMahon, but saw Birmingham hit back in the second half from the penalty spot to earn a point. Louisville will be hoping for a sharper attacking performance this time out with Cameron Lancaster in particular off to a slow start to the season. The former Championship Golden Boot winner has recorded only one shot on target in two games so far, but on Saturday he could be joined by veteran forward Kyle Greig, who signed with Louisville on Thursday to bolster their attacking corps.

@SanDiegoLoyal (0-0-3, 0pts) added another major American soccer figure to its ownership group on Thursday in U.S. Men’s National Team player DeAndre Yedlin, but the side on the field has struggled so far this campaign. SD Loyal suffered a third consecutive loss in a 3-1 result against the Tacoma Defiance in its last outing on May 13 at Cheney Stadium, and has now conceded eight goals in three games this season while having faced 18 shots on goal. After conceding only 15 goals in 15 games in its inaugural season, San Diego’s defensive form will need to improve to start moving up the Pacific Division.
