USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week – Week 4

Some of the Championship’s younger shot-stoppers came up big last week, which one gets your vote?

Some of the USL Championship’s younger goalkeepers grabbed the spotlight in Week of the regular season with spectacular saves for their respective clubs. Four of this week’s five saves are by goalkeepers aged 24 and under, now you get to decide which one will get the honor of bring the Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week.

Voting runs through Friday, May 21 at 12 p.m. ET.

USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week – Week 4

Anthony Marcucci (NYvMIA) - #NYvMIA, 5/14/21: 21-year-old Anthony Marcucci did brilliantly to close down and deny Miami FC’s Billy Forbes in a one-on-one situation at MSU Soccer Park, one of his five saves in the game.

Hugo Fauroux (ATX) - #NMvATX, 5/15/21: Hugo Fauroux’s debut for Bold FC was highlighted by a fingertip stop by the 24-year-old that denied New Mexico United’s Sergio Rivas on a free kick to the top-right corner of the net.

John Berner (MEM) - #BHMvMEM, 5/15/21: John Berner set a new season-high for the 2021 season with nine saves against Birmingham Legion FC on Saturday afternoon, including this denial of Bruno Lapa at point-blank range.

Jeffrey Dewsnup (SLC) - #SLCvLA, 5/14/21: 16-year-old Jeffrey Dewsnup pulled off an exceptional double-save against the Galaxy II, first keeping out a shot by Daniel Aguirre before denying Axel Picazo on the rebound.

Christian Herrera (TAC) - #TACvSD 5/13/21: 24-year-old Christian Herrera produced a fine low save with his right hand to parry wide a shot by San Diego Loyal SC’s Alejandro Guido in Tacoma’s 3-1 victory at Cheney Stadium.
