Los Dos look to add to their lead in the Pacific Division as SKC II hunts for first win of season

Young defenders Josh Drack of the LA Galaxy II and Kayden Pierre of Sporting Kansas City II will look to help their sides to victory as Los Dos and SKC II meet at Dignity Health Sports Park.

CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy II will look to add to their three-game undefeated streak on Wednesday night when they play host to Sporting Kansas City II at Dignity Health Sports Park in the first meeting between the clubs since the 2018 season. Kickoff is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET.

The @LAGalaxyII (2-1-1, 7pts) return home after earning a 2-0 victory against Real Monarchs SLC last Friday night that moved the side into first place in the Pacific Division entering Week 5 of the season. A pair of first-half goals by Kai Koreniuk and Preston Judd – both their second tallies of the season – gave Los Dos victory for only the second time in Utah. The Galaxy II have been paced this season by Jorge Hernandez, who also has two goals and notched his first assist of the season against the Monarchs, while the side has conceded only twice in four games with newcomer Josh Drack impressing on the back line in his first professional season.

@SportingKCII (0-2-1, 1pt) head West looking to rebound from a poor outing on Friday night that saw the side suffer a 4-0 defeat to Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC at Children’s Mercy Park. Sporting’s winless three-game run has matched its start to the 2020 campaign, but last year the side produced a turnaround in form starting with victory in its fourth game on the road to Louisville City FC. The visitors will be hoping their past history against the Galaxy II will continue, with the side going undefeated in five games in the regular season, winning four of the five, and also having eliminated Los Dos in their lone meeting in the Western Conference Playoffs in 2016 before SKC II moved to the Eastern Conference in 2019.
