USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week – Week 1 & 2

The 2021 Championship season has produced some big early saves, which one gets your vote?

There may only be two weeks gone in the 2021 USL Championship regular season, but some of the league’s top goalkeepers have already produced impressive additions to their individual highlight reels. We’ve picked out five of the best saves for you to decide which one will get the honor of bring the Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week. 

Voting runs through Friday, May 7 at 12 p.m. ET. 

USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week – Weeks 1 & 2 

Vicente Reyes (ATL) - #LOUvATL, 4/24/21: 17-year-old Vicente Reyes produced an outstanding reflex stop to keep his side from conceding an own goal during the first half of its season-opening clash with Louisville City FC. 

Alex Tambakis (NM) - #RGVvNM, 5/1/21: Alex Tambakis got down sharply to his left to turn aside a low shot to the far corner by Rio Grande Valley FC’s Vicente Sanchez at H-E-B Park last Saturday night. 

Evan Louro (TBR) - #TBRvCLT, 5/1/21: Evan Louro posted an opening-night shutout that included this spectacular diving stop to deny the Charlotte Independence’s Thomas De Villardi to keep the game scoreless early in the second half at Al Lang Stadium. 

Jermaine Fordah (LDN) - #MIAvLDN, 5/2/21: Jermaine Fordah went at full stretch to keep out a turning shot from the top of the penalty area by Miami FC’s Lamar Walker that was arrowing toward the bottom-right corner of the net. 

Chris Hubbard (LOU) - #LOUvATL 4/24/21: Chris Hubbard’s lone save in LouCity’s opening game was a big one as he shut down Atlanta United 2’s Coleman Gannon to keep the game scoreless in the first half.
