OKLAHOMA CITY – OKC Energy FC and Atlanta United 2 will both be looking to get on a winning track as they square off at Taft Stadium on Saturday night after both sides suffered defeat in their season-openers a week ago. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET.

@EnergyFC (0-1-0, 0pts) fell to its Black Gold Derby rival FC Tulsa last Saturday night, unable to recover after falling into a two-goal deficit at the halftime break. The second half provided reason for optimism, however, as the host carried much more of the contest and saw Conor Donovan find the net to get back within a goal before Tulsa sealed the game late on. Carrying the positives forward and getting out to a fast start is going to be the focus for Head Coach John Pascarella’s side as it looks for its first victory.

@atlutd2 (0-1-0, 0pts) also battled in its opening game of the season, but ultimately succumbed in a 2-0 defeat against perennial playoff contender Louisville City FC at Lynn Family Stadium. Looking to play primarily on the counterattack, Atlanta was unable to muster many clear chances, something it will be looking to rectify in its second outing. The potential attacking presence of Jackson Conway – who last season recorded six goals in 10 appearances before signing as a Homegrown Player with Atlanta United FC – does provide the potential for danger that Energy FC’s defense will have to account for.
