The Kickers stormed to a three-goal win away from home

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - An emphatic away performance saw the Richmond Kickers cruise to victory over New England Revolution II on Saturday night at Gillette Stadium.

The two teams approached each other cautiously during the opening half-hour, but Richmond found the breakthrough on 35 minutes. Victor Falck played a long, line-splitting pass from midfield, which found the feet of Hernan González. González's touch fell perfectly for an onrushing Jonathan Bolanos, who looked New England goalkeeper Earl Edwards Jr. in the eye before chipping it into the net to open the scoring.

Bolanos then helped set up the Kickers' second goal. His in-swinging corner deflected off the hands of Edwards and was turned in by Juan Pablo Monticelli just before the break.

In the second half, New England saw far more of the ball, but failed to register a shot on target. Richmond's compact and resolute defensive effort, coupled with a late clincher scored by Oalex Anderson, sealed the three points for the Kickers.

The Kickers host reigning League One title-winners Greenville Triumph SC next week, while the Revolution II are off until May 12 when they host Union Omaha.
