OKLAHOMA CITY – OKC Energy FC rallied from an early deficit to earn a 3-1 victory against USL League One side North Texas SC on Saturday afternoon in a preseason exhibition at Taft Stadium. Frank Lopez, Villyan Bijev and Mitch Osmond all found the net for the hosts.

OKC opened the brighter of the two sides, but while they looked the more likely to open the scoring instead North Texas found the net in the 10th minute to grab an early lead.

Energy FC rebounded quickly, however, as Lopez notched his second goal of the preseason 10 minutes later. The Cuban forward turned his marker and latched onto a curling pass by Rob Coronado sent in behind the North Texas defense and finished from 15 yards.

OKC took the lead ten minutes into the second half when Brad Dunwell found Villyan Bijev near the top of the penalty area. Bijev’s first touch set up a perfectly placed curling finish over the North Texas’ goalkeeper and into the top-right corner of the net to put the hosts ahead.

Then with 15 minutes to go, Osmond finished the scoring. The Aussie stormed into the penalty area and took advantage of a mix-up in the North Texas defense to get on the end of a free kick by Coronado and lash home from close range.
