Forward Madison FC is launching a new initiative encouraging fans to receive COVID-19 vaccines! The campaign, “Mingos Take Shots,” calls on fans to share photos of themselves getting vaccinated in Forward Madison gear on social media.

“We are excited to do something small to be able to express our happiness for members of our Forward community who have weathered the ups and downs of the pandemic,” Forward Madison Community Engagement Manager Connor Tobin said. “This campaign is important because vaccinations are our collective ticket back to a world where we can have in-person interactions. Our world is a better place when we can actually physically connect with one another and foster relationships across communities.”

As part of the new campaign, Tobin is leading an effort to congratulate each fan who posts a photo. Additionally, the club is partnering with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services to film public service announcements featuring Forward Madison players.

“We understand that for many people, being able to get a vaccine is an emotional moment,” Tobin said. “The last year has been a difficult year for people around the world, but it is exciting to finally have some light at the end of the tunnel.”
