Galaxy Academy product made seven appearances for Los Dos in 2020 season

LOS ANGELES – The LA Galaxy II announced on Thursday the club had signed midfielder and LA Galaxy Academy product Adrian Gonzalez. The 17-year-old made his professional debut last year in the USL Championship with the LA Galaxy II, notching seven appearances.

“Adrian is a young, developing talent that we believe will have a bright future with LA Galaxy II,” said LA Galaxy General Manager Dennis te Kloese. We are excited to have Adrian continue to progress within our organization and look forward to his continued development within our club.”

Gonzalez made his debut for Los Dos last year, making one start among his seven appearances in the USL Championship while still a member of the LA Galaxy Academy. He has represented the LA Galaxy Academy since 2019, where he has made eight appearances and scored one goal for the Galaxy U-16/17 and U-18/19 squads. At the international level, Gonzalez has featured for the Mexico U-16 and U-18 teams, earning a combined six appearances.

Before joining LA Galaxy Academy, Gonzalez signed with Liga MX Club C.F. Pachuca in 2018. Gonzalez began his youth career playing with Santa Rosa’s Atletico.
