HARTFORD, Conn. – Hartford Athletic announced on Thursday the club had signed Cameroonian forward Tabort Etaka Preston, pending league and federation approval.

Preston’s arrives in Hartford with prior Championship experience, having featured for Las Vegas Lights FC during the 2019 campaign. In 31 league appearances with Las Vegas, the 22-year-old scored eight goals and recorded three assists and added 34 key passes over the course of the season.

“Preston has an x-factor. He’s an exciting attacking player who will be a fan favorite,” said Hartford Head Coach Harry Watling. “Adding goals and assists to the roster was key and in Preston, I trust his ability to do exactly that.”

A former member of Cameroon’s U-20 National Team, for which he played at the CAF Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in 2017, Preston has also spent time in the Albanian First Division with KS Kastrioti Kruje where he played during the 2018-19 season.
