Rennie will return as Head Coach for Circle City Squad’s eighth campaign in 2021

INDIANAPOLIS – 2020 USL Championship All-League selections Tyler Pasher and Neveal Hackshaw are among six players set to return to Indy Eleven for the 2021 USL Championships season as the club announced its first roster moves ahead of its eighth season. Goalkeeper Jordan Farr, defenders Ayoze and Carl Haworth and forward Josh Penn were also confirmed as returning to the squad next year.

The club also announced that Head Coach Martin Rennie and Assistant Coaches Juan Guerra, Phil Presser, and Andy Swift – will return to the sidelines in 2021. Rennie has led Indy in its first three seasons in the Championship as the side has gone 39-27-18 in the regular season. In 2019 Rennie’s side reached the Eastern Conference Final of the USL Championship Playoffs.

“After our comprehensive reviews and extensive coach and player meetings, we are genuinely excited to start bringing back many talented players to this organization,” said Indy Eleven President and CEO Greg Stremlaw. “This core group is dedicated and eager to deliver the results that can take Indy Eleven to the top of the USL Championship in 2021.”

Pasher earned his first Championship All-League selection this year after a stellar season saw him record 10 goals in 15 appearances. A former Western Conference Title-winner with Sporting Kansas City II, Pasher has recorded 23 goals and six assists in 50 appearances for Indy over the past two seasons in the regular season and playoffs, sixth-most in the Championship in that span.

Hackshaw earned his second consecutive Championship All-League selection in 2020 as he made 15 appearances and logged 1,350 minutes of action on the back line for the Boys in Blue. A Trinidad & Tobago international, Hackshaw has made 116 appearances in the Championship’s regular season in his career, having previously competed for the Charleston Battery before joining Indy ahead of the 2019 season.

Contract discussions with additional players from last season’s squad are ongoing, as are new player acquisitions. The club will make more roster transactions official in the coming weeks and into early 2021.
