Mike Watts, Devon Kerr to be joined by U.S. Women’s National Team player Sarah Gorden at Al Lang Stadium

TAMPA, Fla. – Viewers will be in familiar hands for the broadcast of the 2020 USL Championship Final on ESPN on Sunday night when play-by-play announcer Mike Watts and analyst Devon Kerr set to call all the action from Al Lang Stadium in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida.

Watts and Kerr – who have served as the national television voices of the Championship for the past three seasons – will be joined by a new face this year as Sarah Gorden – fresh off training camp with the U.S. Women’s National Team this week – joins the team as sideline reporter.

Gorden has spent the past five seasons with the Red Stars and has made 58 appearances for the club, including being ever-present as the side reached the final of the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup in Utah. Gorden earned her first call-up to the U.S. Women’s National Team in December 2019 and was selected again this month for the national team’s training camp in Commerce City, Colorado. An Illinois native, Gorden was previously a college standout at DePaul University where she was a two-time selection to the Big East All-Conference Team and majored in Journalism.

Watts will call his sixth Championship Final this year to complete a season that has seen him not only serve once again as the play-by-play voice for the Championship Game of the Week on ESPN but also continue to be one of the best-known soccer announcers in the United States. In addition to his work in the Championship, Watts has also served as play-by-play announcer for games in the Concacaf Champions League as well as the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup and Fall Series. Watts is a graduate of Fordham University, where he was the 2014 Marty Glickman award-winner.

Kerr returns for his third Championship Final after a season where he has continued to shine breaking down games for fans across the country in the Championship Game of the Week on ESPN. A former professional player in Germany’s Regionalliga after competing collegiately for Stetson University, Kerr has brought his insight and humor to the league and has also served as a color announcer for the Concacaf Champions League, the NCAA College Cup and Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.

The 2020 USL Championship Final will be broadcast for the first time this year on ESPN in addition to airing on ESPN Deportes and SiriusXM FC across the United States. The game will also air through the league’s international broadcast partners, including Flow Sports in Caribbean, and in other regions through the Championship’s YouTube channel.
