Luis Solignac was unveiled on Monday as the newest signing for Chilean side San Luis de Quillota after a strong season with San Antonio FC that saw the Argentine retake the professional stage after sitting out a full campaign.

A former member of Chicago Fire FC, Solignac spent the 2019 season on the sidelines after injuries had hindered his final year in Chicago. He returned looking back to full health for San Antonio and quickly helped the side to success, providing an assist in SAFC’s season-opening victory against Real Monarchs SLC and notching his first goal for the club in a 4-2 victory against Austin Bold FC on August 1 following the season resumption.

Solignac tied the Championship’s record for fastest goal in a regular season game on September 5 in a 3-2 victory against Rio Grande Valley FC, finding the net after just nine seconds. Overall, he led San Antonio overall with eight goals in 16 appearances while also notching three assists and 19 chances created as SAFC finished on top of Group G with 10 wins in the regular season.

San Luis de Quillota currently sits in ninth place in the Chilean Primera B with the side 14 games into its 2020 campaign, one point out of the places for the league’s promotion playoffs.
