BIRMINGHAM, AL (Oct. 16, 2020) -- Last week, the United Soccer League and the USL Black Players Alliance announced a partnership with Black Arrow FC, an Oakland-based lifestyle and creative brand that focuses on the intersection of soccer and black supporters’ culture. Via a statement from USL HQ, the ”first-of-its-kind relationship will see all three organizations working together to tell stories about soccer and black culture throughout the 2020 playoffs.”
The second story Black Arrow FC produced and released came out today and focused on the growing relationship between Birmingham Legion FC and the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute. As fans may remember, Legion FC wore commemorative jerseys with the BCRI logo on the back in the club’s first game of the season, July 15, and then auctioned off the kits with all proceeds, over $9,000, going directly to the Institute.
