LOS ANGELES – Memphis 901 FC defender Mark Segbers has joined Los Angeles FC of Major League Soccer on loan for the remainder of the 2020 season, the clubs announced on Tuesday.

“Mark had a strong season with Memphis 901 FC and his arrival will be beneficial as we head into the final stretch of the year” said LAFC Co-President & General Manager John Thorrington. “We look forward to getting him acclimated to the group as quickly as possible.”

Segbers, the ninth overall selection in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft by the New England Revolution, recorded 10 appearances and notched one goal and two assists in his first season with 901 FC. Segbers had previously played in the Championship for Orange County SC in 2018 and last year for Sporting Kansas City II, and has made 59 appearances all-time in the league.
