AUSTIN, Texas – Austin Bold FC announced on Friday the addition of forward Aldo Quintanilla to the club’s roster, pending league and federation approval. Per club policy, contract terms will not be released.

“I’m very excited to arrive at this club, which has achieved a lot in a short time. I’m also grateful for this opportunity in these difficult times,” said Quintanilla. “The supporters can expect me to work hard to get a spot in this team, score goals, and win matches.”

Quintanilla played the past two seasons in the Championship for Rio Grande Valley FC. During his time in Edinburg, Texas, the 25-year-old scored five goals and tallied four assists in 22 matches. Quintanilla made one appearance for Major League Soccer’s Houston Dynamo during their 2018 U.S. Open Cup-winning run in the Fourth Round, where he scored two goals against NTX Rayados.

Before moving to RGVFC, Quintanilla’s career began in his native Mexico in the Santos Laguna academy system, where he made appearances for the U20 side and reserve team. In 2017, he moved to Queretaro and spent time with their reserve squad.
