Reno Adds Experience with ‘Chuy’ Enriquez

Former Toros midfielder has recorded 10 goals, nine assists in Championship

RENO, Nev. – Reno 1868 FC has announced the signing of midfielder Jesús “Chuy” Enríquez. The California native has made more than 60 appearances and recorded 10 goals and nine assists over the past two-plus seasons in the league.

Enriquez joined Rio Grande Valley FC prior to the 2018 season and recorded six goals and six assists for the Toros in 31 appearances while recording 37 key passes and a passing accuracy rate of 77.6 percent. The following season he made an additional 30 appearances for RGVFC and recorded four goals, three assists and 48 key passes.

Earlier this season, Enriquez made three appearances for San Antonio FC and recorded an 81.3 percent passing accuracy rate on 30 passes per 90 minutes for the side.

Prior to arriving in the Championship, Enriquez competed in Mexico for the Xolos de Tijuana U-20 side. The 23-year-old was called up to the Liga MX club’s First Team for one game in the 2016 Copa MX Clausura, being selected in the gameday squad for the team’s game against Coras de Tepic on Feb. 17 of that year.
