USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week – Week 9

Hunter Sulte (POR) - #SACvPOR, 8/22/20: Sulte made an outstanding one-handed reaction save to keep out a first-time shot by Sacramento’s Drew Skundrich that caromed off the right post and allowed the young shot-stopper to gather.

Matt Cardone (SA) - #SAvTUL, 8/22/20: Cardone showed off his reflexes as a corner kick fell to FC Tulsa’s Marlon in the penalty area and forced a low save to the San Antonio native’s left to keep the visitors off the board.

Daniel Vitiello (PIT) - #LDNvPIT, 8/19/20: Vitiello came up big in a one-on-one showdown with Loudoun United FC’s Alioune Ndour as part of a three-save shutout that kept the Hounds moving toward the postseason.

Cody Mizell (NM) - #SLCvNM, 8/19/20: Mizell punched a curling effort by Real Monarchs SLC’s Sam Brown high into the air and then gathered the rebound as part of a shutout last Wednesday night in Utah.

Matt Van Oekel (BHM) - #BHMvMEM, 8/22/20: Van Oekel came off his line and timed his challenge perfectly to deny Memphis’ Cal Jennings from finding the net in Legion FC’s clash with its rival at BBVA Field.
