Long-range blast against San Diego Loyal SC claimed second victory in three weeks for Jamaican international

For the second time in three weeks, Phoenix Rising FC's Junior Flemmings claimed the USL Championship's Fans' Choice Goal of the Week award, with his long-range strike against San Diego Loyal SC claiming 56 percent of the vote to sit ahead of the Tampa Bay Rowdies' Juan Tejada on 40 percent.

USL Championship Fans’ Choice Goal of the Week – Week 8

Juan Tejada (TBR) - #ATLvTBR, 8/12/20: Tejada took on the Atlanta defense on a counterattack, checked up just short of the penalty area and then produced a perfect curling finish to the bottom-right corner to ice the Rowdies’ victory.

Junior Flemmings (PHX) - #PHXvSD, 8/15/20: The Jamaican Golden Boot contender fired home a spectacular long-range finish from almost 30 yards into the top-left corner to open the scoring in Rising FC’s 2-0 victory against San Diego.

Xavier Baez (ATX) - #SAvATX, 8/15/20: A deflected cross provided the perfect set-up for the Mexican veteran, who laced home a ferocious volley from the left side of the penalty area into the right corner of the net at Toyota Field.

Russell Cicerone (STL) - #STLvSKC, 8/15/20: Cicerone got his side off to a flying start at West Community Field with a slick turn in the left side of the penalty area that was capped by a precise finish to the far post that bent into the corner of the net.

Aodhan Quinn (OC) - #SDvOC, 8/12/20: Quinn marked his 150th regular-season appearance in the Championship with a crisp, long-range strike from 25 yards that arrowed into the right corner of the net during Orange County’s win in San Diego.
