PITTSBURGH (May 26, 2020) - Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC fell to Union Omaha, 7-1, in the USL eCup: FIFA20 Edition esports tournament this evening.

With fan Logan Nawrocki on the sticks, the Hounds, in their first game back in Division A, were able to fend off several shots early. Despite great defense, Omaha, playing as the Norway National Team, got on the board in the 23rd minute, after launching a shot into the top-left corner. They would add two more first-half goals to take a 3-0 lead by the 38th minute. The Hounds, playing as the Belgium National Team, would get one back in the 40th minute, after putting a shot in the bottom-right corner. Omaha would add four more goals in the second half to advance to the next round.

Despite the loss, the Hounds will be in action next week (date/opponent TBD). After reaching the Division B Championship match last week, the Hounds were promoted to Division A. All of Pittsburgh’s FIFA20 esports matches can be streamed on the club’s Twitch Channel.
