EDINBURG, Texas (Thurs., May 7, 2020) – Kembo Kibato leads Rio Grande Valley FC to semifinals of the Division Qualifying Tournament of the USL eCup: FIFA20 Edition after a 4-0 win over Saint Louis FC. 

Saint Louis, as France – 2018 FIFA World Cup Champions, kicked of the first half with momentum, but Brazil struck going off target in the 10th minute. In the 15th minute, Brazil managed to get to the box but lost possession of the ball. France attempted to do a cross, but ball went out in the 41st minute heading into the half with a 0-0 score. 

Boas Santos earned the lead for Brazil as the second half begun sending the ball to the back of the net after a cutback play in the 49th minute, 1-0. In the 54th minute, Cabrais struck the left post sending the ball out of play. France attacked Brazil’s goal as Dembele sent a dangerous cross inside the box, but Brazil’s defending line managed to clear the ball out. 

Brazil attempted to attack but France intercepted a dangerous ball sent inside the box in the 68th minute. Three minutes later, Neymar Jr. then sent a shot to the keepers left side scoring the second goal for Brazil 2-0. 

France tested Brazil’s keeper as they sent a long shot forcing the keeper to clear it out to a corner. Santeiro then snapped back with a third goal for Brazil as he sent the ball to the back of the net in the 78th minute. Neymar Jr. hit a brace before the final whistle earning a 4-0 score for Brazil.

RGV FC will face the winner between New York Red Bulls II (Chile) and Austin Bold FC (Italy) on May 8 at 6:30 p.m. CT. All games will be streamed on the Toros Twitch Channel (RGVFCToros).
