Half the field has been eliminated, here’s where the remaining 16 land going into the bracket

The wheat has been separated from the chaff.

For those that were eliminated, we have some lovely parting gifts from our friends at HyperX.

For the 16 teams that remain in the USL eCup: Rocket League Edition, the dream of lifting the trophy is still alive. (Editors note: Wait, we were supposed to order a trophy for this thing?)

And while there remains one clear favorite out west in the desert, we’ve also got a cluster of other players that on their day might have a chance at glory.

Just try to avoid getting blown up quite as often as DJ Ocho on Friday.

Next: v. ATX		 What do you value, a solid defense or an attack that can pull games out when needed? In Tacoma, you have a bit of both, which could mean a postseason run for Josh Atencio.
5 Birmingham Legion FC
Captain: Patrick Glenn
Charity: Birmingham Strong Fund		 8 | 1st
Next: v. IND		 There’s been magic in the controller for the Magic City Brigade’s Kaylor Hodges so far, capped off by an impressive win against longtime rival Memphis.
6 Saint Louis FC
Captain: Keith Mayfield
Charity: STL Area Food Bank		 5 | 1st
Next: v. LDN		 The performances by STLFC’s Keith Mayfield have been mighty impressive so far. The tricky part? A potential Quarterfinal matchup with FC Tucson.
7 Philadelphia Union II
Captain: Evan Slabicki
Charity: City Team - Chester		 3 | 1st
Next: v. ELP		 No one has proved more people wrong than Union II’s Evan Slabicki. He has been superb through his first three outings.
8 Charleston Battery
Captain: Mauro Cichero
Charity: MUSC COVID Emergency Fund		 2 | 1st
Next: v. RNO		 With 65 goals and 15 saves, Mauro Cichero has been doing work at either end of the field. But has he expended too much energy? We’ll see how much is left in those boost buttons.
9 Austin Bold FC

Next: v. TAC		 Bold FC’s Michael Cerna restored the shine to the club’s crest with two big victories, and that should have the full attention of Tacoma going into the knockout stage.

Next: v. CHS		 Coming through with a clutch victory means Reno gets a chance at the postseason, but who’s going to be on the sticks to take on a dominant Charleston Battery side next?
13 Indy Eleven

Charity: Agape International Missions		 7 | 2nd
Next: v. BHM		 An explosive performance by Chad Irvine sent the Eleven through, now they’re going to be upset-minded against Legion FC in the Round of 16.
14 Richmond Kickers

Next: v. OMA		 The win against the Red Bulls II was good, but we’re not sure there was enough to convince us that there’s an upset in the making against Omaha coming next.
15 Phoenix Rising FC

Charity: AZ COVID-19 Community Response Fund		 3 | 2nd
Next: v. SA		 It’s a postseason trip for Rising FC’s Joey Farrell, but the performance in the Round of 16 is going to have to be way sharper against a top San Antonio FC side.
16 Forward Madison FC
Captain: Brandon Eaton
Charity: Flock Soccer Fund		 8 | 2nd
Next: v. TUC		 Good news is you’re into the knockout stage. The bad news is you get first crack at knocking off FC Tucson. Good luck with that.
