TUCSON, Ariz. – Phoenix Rising FC rallied from a two-goal deficit to earn a 3-3 draw with El Paso Locomotive FC in a preseason exhibition at the Kino Sports Complex on Saturday afternoon.

Locomotive FC opened the scoring in the 34th minute as a trialist found the back of the net. The same trialist added a second two minutes before halftime with a powerful shot from 20 yards that found the top corner to give El Paso a two-goal lead at the break.

Phoenix pulled a goal back from the penalty spot in the 51st minute when Jon Bakero shot home into the right corner, but El Paso restored its two-goal lead shortly after as Aaron Gomez found the back of the net.

Rising FC pulled back within a goal again midway through the second half on a fine individual effort by Junior Flemmings, who outpaced his marker down the left side before cutting into the penalty area and sending a low finish into the far corner of the net.

Solomon Asante then tied the game up with 10 minutes to go as a turnover by El Paso in its half allowed a low cross from the left across the top of the six-yard area to pick out the Ghanaian standout for a simple finish at the back post.
