ORANGE COUNTY SC ANNOUNCES PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE, EVENT SERIES, THEME NIGHTS AND PREMIUM GIVEAWAY ITEMS FOR THE 2020 SEASON

The Orange County Soccer Club is excited to announce it’s 2020 season promotional schedule featuring a brand-new event series including five Friday post-match firework shows, three KidzCon events, and the return of three Beer Fest Nights. Additionally, the 2020 schedule features theme nights, premium giveaways, and community nights with more events being added prior to the Season Opener on March 6th at Championship Soccer Stadium in Irvine at 7:00 PM.

“When you come to an Orange County SC game at Championship Soccer Stadium, it’s not just about a high level of professional soccer, it’s about the entire family experience.”, said Jeff Garner, President of Business of Operations “We believe in bringing people together and having fun. We understand that you could spend two hours somewhere else, but you choose to do it with us and therefore, we take pride in putting your experience first.”

The home of Orange County SC, Championship Soccer Stadium is a spacious 5,200 seat soccer only venue conveniently located in the Great Park in Irvine. In 2020, OCSC welcomes 17 USL Championship teams from the Western Conference including rivals San Diego and Phoenix. The USL Championship is the fastest growing second division soccer league in the world and features some of the best young talent in Soccer today. In addition to a highest level of professional soccer in Orange County, OCSC offers an affordable family experience including FREE PARKING.

This year’s promotional calendar is highlighted by three event series featuring Friday Fireworks, Beer Fest, and KidzCon:

Friday Night Fireworks featuring $1 Beer Night

At every Friday night home match in 2020, fans will get to witness an awe-inspiring postgame firework show, beginning with a bang following the season opener on March 6th vs. the El Paso Locomotives! Next, on First Responders Night, OCSC battles it out against rival Phoenix Rising on April 17th, followed by a showdown with OKC Energy on May 29th featuring Military Appreciation Night. On August 7th, OCSC takes on Real Monarchs and then concludes the Friday Firework series on September 18th vs. New Mexico United as the Club celebrates the popular Fiesta de Futbol. Come early and stay late as each Friday Firework series match features pre-match $1 draft beer, some restrictions apply, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Beer Fest

Back by popular demand, this signature event returns for a third year! Responsibly enjoy ALL YOU CAN DRINK beer featuring 50+ craft beers, food trucks, lawn games, and free giveaways! Orange County SC kicks off with a St. Paddy’s Day theme on Saturday March 21st as we take on California rival, the San Diego Loyal. Just as the weather heats up, Beer Fest keeps it cool returning on July 25th against LA Galaxy II for the Summer Brews edition. Finally, the Beer fest series concludes on October 17th with a showdown against Colorado Springs for the Winter Ales installment. KidzCon

BRAND NEW for the 2020 season, KidzCon brings families together to interact with over twenty interactive vendors each night from across Southern California, participate in fun activities, and learn important lessons in the areas of Wellness, Safety, and Education. KidzCon kicks off the series on Saturday March 28th against Rio Grande Valley, WELLNESS takes center stage with support from Club partners like Hoag Hospital.

Kids can participate in a pre-game soccer clinic, explore exercise, body wellness and healthy eating exhibits. Next, KidzCon will shift gears to focus on kids SAFETY featuring the popular “Touch-A-Truck” event on Saturday May 16th versus Reno 1868. “Touch-A-Truck” is an interactive, hands-on experience where kids can learn about their favorite trucks and vehicles, honk their horns and interact with the drivers while learning about traffic, pedestrian, bike and helmet safety. Featured vehicles and displays at the event will include a fire truck, police vehicles, military transports, construction trucks, and vintage vehicles to name a few! Just in time for back-to-school, KidzCon conclude this series with an emphasis on EDUCATION on Saturday August 29th as Orange County SC teaches the Las Vegas Lights a lesson. Kids can learn good study habits, use mathematics to calculate important Soccer statistics, experience history and the natural world will come to life with interactive vendor displays. Other Promotional Highlights:

The fun doesn’t stop with the event series, in fact, Orange County Soccer has so much more to offer during the upcoming season. OCSC will hand out 2020 schedule magnets and rally towels on March 6th and March 21st to kickoff the season. The Club celebrates its international partner, the Glasgow Rangers and their rich history with Rangers Fan Night on March 28. Visit with current Rangers players on loan to Orange County SC, meet Rangers legend Richard Gough, plenty of chances to win Rangers memorabilia and listen to Rangers brass in a pre-game stadium panel.

Our first annual Salute to High School Champions begins March 6th and continues April 17th as the Club pays homage to the athletic success of high school teams and individuals from around Orange County. Our community support continues as we host the Crohn’s and Colitis “Take Steps” Walk on May 16th and the wildly successful, 32-team United Way Corporate Cup presented by Cisoshare will be featured at the June 13th match. If you love food, don’t miss Taste of Irvine Night on June 6th as restaurants from around Irvine will be on- hand to sample and sell your favorite local fare. The excitement doesn’t stop there, OCSC will spotlight Girls Empowerment on August 7th, a classic car show on September 5th and enjoy live Lucha Wrestling at Fiesta de Futbol pre-match on September 18. Kids on The Pitch:

A new tradition created last season to encourage our youth to dream big, after each match, kids will be allowed to come on the pitch and practice a penalty kick just like the Pros.

Orange County SC is also providing multiple ticket plan options for fans eager to enjoy the fun at Championship Stadium this season.
