2019 USL Championship Fans’ Choice Goal of the Year – Round 3

Four goals are left in contention, which two will get your vote to advance to the Final?

Round 2 of the 2019 USL Championship Fans’ Choice Goal of the Year produced closest ballot we’ll see this year as the field was narrowed to the final four goals to advance to Round 3, one step closer to claiming the award.

In the end, though, Austin Bold FC’s Faris Abdi held off Louisville City FC’s Niall McCabe with 50.1 percent of the poll to advance to the next round, and a matchup with FC Tulsa’s Tobenna Uzo.

Uzo is one of two FC Tulsa entrants still standing after winning 56 percent of the poll in his matchup with Birmingham Legion FC’s Chandler Hoffman, with Rodrigo Da Costa also still alive in the bracket after narrowly edging past New Mexico United’s Kevaughn Frater with 51 percent of the poll. Da Costa will face Loudoun United FC’s Conor Presley for a place in the Final after he downed Fresno FC’s Arun Basuljevic with 53 percent.

Voting in Round 3 is now open and will run through Thursday, December 12 at 12 p.m. ET.
