TAMPA, Fla. – Real Monarchs SLC will be without leading scorer Douglas Martinez this Sunday in the 2019 USL Championship Final after he was given a one-game suspension by the Independent Disciplinary Panel following the review of an incident late in the Western Conference Final against El Paso Locomotive FC.

Martinez had recorded 17 goals and seven assists across the 2019 Championship regular season and playoffs, including one goal and one assist so far this postseason. His standout campaign saw him signed to a contract by Real Salt Lake in August and earn selection to the Honduran National Team over the course of this year.

The Monarchs are looking to become the first visiting side to earn victory in the USL Championship Final when they face Louisville City FC at Lynn Stadium on Sunday night at 7:30 p.m. ET (ESPN2 | ESPN Deportes).
