After a standout 2019 USL Championship season for New Mexico United, Kevaughn Frater is one of four players to have earned selection to the Jamaica National Team for its two games to conclude the group stage of the Concacaf Nations League this week.

Frater is joined by Bethlehem Steel FC’s Chavany Willis, Louisville City FC’s Shaun Francis and OKC Energy FC’s Je-Vaughn Watson for the contests against Antigua & Barbuda on Friday, and Guyana next Monday. Jamaica currently sits on top of Group C in League B, needing a point from its final two games to earn promotion to League A and a guaranteed spot in the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup after winning all four of its prior group games.

The 24-year-old recorded 14 goals and five assists in 30 Championship appearances for New Mexico in the club’s inaugural season and would make his debut for the full national team should he appear for the Reggae Boyz this week, having previously earned selection at the U-23 level.

Frater is one of the players that NMU announced recently it was in talks with regarding new contracts, with 14 players already set to return to the club for the 2020 season after the re-signing of Daniel Bruce late last week.
