USL Championship Discipline Report – Week 31

TAMPA, Fla. – The following is the USL’s discipline report for Week 31 of the 2019 USL Championship season:

Orange County SC’s Michael Orozco has been suspended for two games following his red card for violent conduct against Rio Grande Valley FC on September 28. Orozco will be unavailable for Orange County’s contests against OKC Energy FC on Saturday and Real Monarchs SLC on October 9.

Birmingham Legion FC’s Brian Wright has been suspended for one game following his red card for violent conduct against the Swope Park Rangers on September 30. Wright will be unavailable for Birmingham’s contest against the Charleston Battery on Saturday night.

The Tampa Bay Rowdies’ Jordan Doherty and Tulsa Roughnecks FC’s Tobenna Uzo have each been suspended for one game following their red cards for two cautionable offenses against Louisville City FC and Tacoma Defiance FC, respectively, on September 28. Doherty will be unavailable for Tampa Bay’s contest with Loudoun United FC on Friday night, while Uzo will be unavailable for Tulsa’s contest with Sacramento Republic FC on Saturday night.

Ottawa Fury FC’s Wal Fall has been suspended for one game for caution accumulation after receiving his eighth yellow card of the season against North Carolina FC on September 28. Fall will be unavailable for Ottawa’s contest with Indy Eleven on Wednesday night.

Indy Eleven’s Ayoze, the Charlotte Independence’s Kevan George, New Mexico United’s Juan Guzman, OKC Energy FC’s Callum Ross, San Antonio FC’s Walter Restrepo, Austin Bold FC’s Xavier Baez and Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC’s Robbie Mertz have been suspended for one game for caution accumulation after receiving their fifth yellow cards of the season. Ayoze will be unavailable for Indy’s contest with Ottawa Fury FC on Wednesday night, George will be unavailable for Charlotte’s contest with Bethlehem Steel FC on Sunday night, Guzman will be unavailable for New Mexico’s contest with Rio Grande Valley FC on Saturday night, Ross will be unavailable for OKC’s contest with Orange County SC on Saturday night, Restrepo will be unavailable for San Antonio’s contest with Las Vegas on Saturday night, Baez will be unavailable for Austin’s contest with Real Monarchs SLC on Saturday afternoon, and Mertz will be unavailable for Pittsburgh’s contest against ATL UTD 2 on Saturday.

The Swope Park Rangers’ Ethan Vanacore-Decker and Loudoun United FC’s Ted Ku-Dipietro were both suspended for one game after being sent off for violent conduct in the contest between the two clubs on September 25. Vanacore-Decker served his suspension in Swope Park’s contest against Birmingham Legion FC on September 30, while Ku-Dipietro served his suspension during Loudoun’s contest against Nashville SC on September 28.

Indy Eleven’s Paddy Barrett was suspended for one game following his red card for abusive language against ATL UTD 2 on September 25. Barrett served his suspension during Indy’s contest against Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC on September 28.

ATL UTD 2’s Andrew Carleton was suspended for one game for caution accumulation after receiving his fifth yellow card of the season against Indy Eleven on September 25. Carleton served his suspension during Atlanta’s contest against Saint Louis FC on September 28.

Fresno FC’s Christian Chaney is no longer on caution accumulation warning, having had one caution removed under the USL’s Good Behavior incentive to place him on three cautions for the season.

The following players enter the upcoming matches one caution away from a yellow card accumulation suspension for their fifth yellow card of the season. Here is the breakdown per club:
